What a choice! With more than 700km of coastline washed by the Adriatic and Ionian seas Puglia has no shortage of beautiful beaches to visit, from tiny coves to large expanses of gently sloping sand, backed by dunes or pines, olive trees to commercialised areas with everything available from loungers, bars, restaurants through to water sports.

The choice is yours, pop down to the nearest or local beach or travel a few miles up the road for that hidden gem where you might be the only person. There are many private beaches that offer sun beds, showers, covered parking, etc for a small fee, so watch out for the signs.

The sea is invariably warm till late in the autumn ans peaking in August. The sea temperature is about 26C degrees, and can be over 20 degrees in October.
