The Grotta di Castellana, Italy's longest natural subterranean network of limestone caves, over 3 km long, and contain stalagmites and stalactites, other crystal formations and a fascinating variety of dripstones. There are guided tours of the caverns throughout the year. This is well worth a visit and could be combined with a visit to the nearby Astronomical Observatory. |
