The Yoga Retreat will be based is in a beautiful house set in five hectares of manicured gardens and less than two miles from the beach. The Yoga Retreat is in spacious and comfortable surroundings with teachers and staff to help you reconnect with your inner calm in a sea of tranquility.
Claire Dunniece has always believed in its benefits for a healthy life style and regularly practices yoga to help reduce stress and maintain essential life balance. During a trip to Indonesia she began to deepen her practice with various teachers and styles of yoga and in 2012, she became a student of Himalaya Yoga Valley Cork under the guidance of Yogacharya Lalit Kumar whose lineage includes Swami Veda, B.K.S Iyengar and Sri Krishnamacharya. She completed her Teacher Training in the Himalaya Yoga Valley Centre Goa, India and has also trained with internationally renowned teachers Kathryn Budig, Tara Stiles and Uma Dinsmore-Tuli.
Claire is passionate about sharing her teachings of traditional Sanskrit chanting, meditation, ashtanga/hatha, vinyasa, restorative yoga and yoga nidra. She is a firm believer that yoga should be made accessible for every individual regardless of age, size, strength or perceived flexibility. She is passionate that the practice of yoga can help us return to our natural state where we feel more balanced, our bodies function better and we live with ease.
Claire is based in Cork, Ireland and teaches weekly classes to a large student base. Those who attend her classes and retreats love her calm and reassuring teaching style. She writes for a local wellbeing magazine, is involved in regular self-care events and works with local businesses on their corporate wellness strategies. Claire is also a co-founder of Prana Yoga Retreats and has taught in France, Poland, Spain, Italy and the UK.
In addition to yoga and meditation there are plenty of things for you to do to without leaving the grounds from walking around the lake, swimming in the pool, relaxing and enjoying some quiet time reading under a tree in a quiet spot in the house or garden or sunning yourself by the pool.
Weather permitting, all yoga classes will take place outside otherwise it will be in the lower level of the main house.
Inside, on the ground floor of the main building there are ample spaces for yoga practice and relaxation: elegant split- level lounge and separate sitting room, both with an abundance of comfortable sofas, a large dining room and a garden atrium.
On the upper floors there are five comfortably furnished bedrooms, with double or twin beds, bedside tables and lamps, sofa beds, wall to ceiling wardrobes and or separate dressing rooms. Should you want to practice yoga on your own, most of the bedrooms have enough space for you to do so. All the bedrooms have en-suite facilities with hydro massage bath or showers cubicles.
There is also a further relaxation area in the lower ground level which also has bathroom and large laundry room.
The villa is fully air conditioned.
Away from the main house and for those wanting privacy this unit has two double/twin bedrooms, a living areas and bathroom, and small private patio.
Seperate from the main house this unit also has two bedrooms, a small ante room, and a bathroom.
POOL and GARDENS
In addition to the huge kidney shaped pool with diving board, the pool area also has changing rooms, outdoor showers, pool floats, large gazebo and plenty of sun loungers and chairs for you to relax on. The expansive grounds also has a large man made lake surrounded by the lush palm trees and other exotic plants and shrubbery.
