Set out in the stunning countryside, just over 5 minutes drive to the UNESCO town of Alberobello lies Trulli Pietra Luna – Bosco Selva. A charming restored 8 cone trulli with original features, large pool and outdoor kitchen. The property is tastefully decorated and furnished to compliment the surroundings. Sleeps 6 plus 1 baby in a travel cot or child on a Z bed.
The property has two entrances, one from the lounge and the other from the kitchen.

The modern kitchen is very well equipped with full size oven, 4 ring gas hob, dishwasher, large fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster, Nespresso capsule coffee machine and of course plenty of pots, pans, crockery, glasses and cutlery for 6 people. Nearby is a large dining table with seating for up to 6 people. Here you will also find the washing machine.
From the kitchen the hallway leads to door to:
TRULLO MASTER BEDROOM 1
The large double bed is situated under the huge trullo cone with feature light fitting. There are two alcoves for storage and overhead lights for reading. Through the stone arch is the dressing area with large 3 chest of drawers, mirror, hanging rail for clothes and small chair. The window looks out to the outdoor kitchen.
Note: It is also possible to put a travel cot or a Z bed for an extra child in this room

This large bathroom has a walk-in shower with feature rain shower head and hand held attachment, wash hand basin with plenty of storage for your toiletries underneath, WC, bidet and towel rail. The window looks out to the rear of the property

This beautiful room with exposed stone walls and high ceiling has a large double bed under the stone arch. There are reading lights above with a bedside cabinet and lamp nearby. There is a large unit with hanging space and cupboards for storge of your clothes and a small mirror. The window looks out to the front of the property.
TRULLO BEDOORM 3
This room also has exposed stone walls and ceiling. There is a double bed with bedside drawers and lamp. A small dresser is nearby with drawers, a single wardrobe and mirror. The window looks out to the rear of the property.

LOUNGE
Situated under one of the biggest trulli cones with exposed stone walls, original wooden beams and feature fireplace. This spacious room has two sofas and an armchair, all perfect for relaxing on. Here you will also find lots of board games and information on the local area.
It is also possible to put a Z bed suitable for a child in the smaller coned area by the fireplace on request.
From the sitting room the double doors lead out onto the garden with far reaching views of the countryside.
OUTSIDE

Outside the kitchen is a covered veranda with 2 comfortable sunchairs and coffee table with views over the garden.

This, stunning newly built area is perfect for al fresco dining at all times of the day. Enjoy cooking your own pizzas (we tell you how) or maybe have a BBQ, whilst in the shade from the sun. There is also a small fridge for cooling your drinks and a large sink and work surface for preparation. The dining table seats 6 people and nearby there is a cushioned seating area.

SWIMMING POOL
Enjoy a swim or cool off in the 8.85 x 4.5m pool which is entered via full width steps (perfect for sitting on). The depth is the same throughout and measures 1.2m. At night the pool can be lit different colours according to your mood by using the remote control. There is also an outdoor shower by the pool.
Six extra wide sun loungers with sunshades are nearby for you to relax on along with two large umbrellas for shade.
OLIVE TREE RELAXATION AREA
Enjoy a quiet moment away from the property reading a book or a morning coffee by the old olive tree. Here you will find a table and chairs seating 6 people
GARDEN
The property has a well-maintained garden area with shrubs and plants to blend with the environment.
HERB GARDEN
A newly created area found behind the outdoor kitchen where guests are free to help themselves to the herbs in season.
You will also find the washing line in this area for drying your laundry.
LAND
Further away from the property the land has been left as natural as possible; guests are free to explore and of course enjoy eating all our fruit in season from the fig, plum, apple, cherry, mulberry and apricot trees.

CHILDREN
We have aimed to provide a relaxing comfortable space for you to enjoy. We recognise that children and those young at heart need entertaining, with this in mind we have floats for the pool, internet, bats and balls, boules, cards, board games and a few toys.
We also provide free of charge for babies a travel cot, highchair and changing mat. Please note that we do not provide linen for the travel cot as often babies have sensitive skins, this you need to bring.
There is a Z bed which is possible to put in the trullo master bedroom or in the lounge alongside the fireplace.
EXERCISE
You will find 4 yoga mats and some light weights in the main bathroom.

There is private parking off road parking for 3 cars.
LOCAL INFO
At the property you will find a house book full of lots of information on what to do and where to go. On arrival we will be only too pleased to give you more information according to your interests.
The famous UNESCO town of Alberobello is just over 5 mintues drive away with it's famous trulli houses, many shops, restaurants, excellent supermarket, wine tasting and fruit and vegetable market which is held every Thursday.
The beautiful town of Martina Franca is 15 minutes drive away and is full of baroque architecture, is host to an annual Opera and music festival and has a huge market every Wednesday.
Cisternino a town high up on a hilltop has fantastic views over the Valle D'Itria and surrounding countryside. Its centro storico (old town) is charming and has plenty of shops, cafe/bars and restaurants for all budgets and tastes. This is just over 20 minutes away by car.
Capitolo is the nearest beach, but there are many beautiful beaches and areas of more rugged coastline both on the Adriatic and Ionian coast in easy driving distance.

Rental notes:
There is a minimum stay of 5 nights in all periods except July and August where the minimum stay is 7 nights.
Arrival is on any day providing it doesn not leave a gap which we cannot sell.
All bookings are subject to a contract which you must sign.
The price includes a welcome pack on arrival, all utilities, city tax, wifi, linen, towels, pool towels and the final clean when you leave.
50% deposit is required to secure the dates with the balance due 8 weeks prior to your stay togeher with a refundable security deposit of £500.00 GBP. Providing you have not broken or damaged anything this is returned to you within 7 working days by bank/wire transfer.
CANCELLATION
Should you have to cancel your holiday refunds will be made on the following basis:
121 days or more notice: 100% refund of deposit
60-120 days' notice: 50% refund of deposit
Less than 60 days' notice: having paid in full - 25% refund of total
Less than 30 days' notice: having paid in full - no refund unless the dates can be resold
If any of the cancelled period is re-sold, a pro rata refund will be made based on the rental received and any refund already made. Admin fees are non-refundable.
In addition to the above, a deduction of GBP150 administration fee will be made from the refund.
Puglia Holiday Rentals will not be liable for any bank or other transfer charges resulting from a refund.
COVID-19 CANCELLATION POLICY
Should local legislation, either in Italy or your home country, prevent you from travelling because of COVID-19, the cancellation policy for this would be:
50% cash refund, or
100% transfer of the money received against a stay at the property on an alternative date and for the same number of nights.
If any of the cancelled period is re-let, a pro rata refund will be made based on the rental received and any refund already made less an amount of GBP150.00, administration fee. Admin fees are non-refundable.
BABIES: We have a travel cot and highchair available free of charge. However we do not supply linen for the travel cot as often babies have sensitive skins, this you need to bring.
CHILDREN: There is a Z bed suitable for a child up to teenager which can be put in the master bedroom or lounge

EVENTS
Events are not permitted at the property.
It was in a stunning and very peaceful location and was ideal with the grandchildren as they could make as much noise as they liked. We also really enjoyed having a pool to ourselves. There was plenty of equipment for cooking. People need to be be aware that you are advised not to drink the water from the tap and so need to buy some bottled water. The access road is quite bumpy so you need to make sure you don't have a very "low slung" car! The lady who greeted us was very friendly and informative and very responsive when we contacted her to ask a question. The property is close to Alberobello but far enough away to escape the tourist crowds.
Superbe maison.
We had a wonderful 12 days stay. Plenty of space, well equipped and immaculately presented. The villa is surrounded by olive groves and in a peaceful location well away from neighbours (note that final access is along a rural, single lane track). There's plenty of parking area. The pool area is great with plenty of sun beds and parasols. The outside kitchen has pizza oven, bbq and fridge. Everything has been well thought out. The villa is in a great location for exploring Puglia - Alberobello is 10 minutes away and beaches half an hour. Communication with Jackie at Puglia Holiday Rentals was efficient and easy.
The house, the pool, the garden, oh my goodness & outside kitchen, my husband is a chef by trade, he was in his element. Coffee under the olive tree in the morning, with those views. We absolutely loved it and totally recommend it. Thank you so much.

Our stay at Trulli Pietra Luna was wonderful, from the smooth booking process with Jackie to the warm welcome and assistance from Barbara. We loved the quiet location which is a great base for visiting many places in Puglia. The Trulli is beautiful inside and out, well equipped and very well designed. Plenty of space for a family of 4. The garden, pool and outside space is fantastic. We will miss all the different spots to sit and relax in. Our only regret is that a week wasn't long enough. Highly recommend and hope to return.
From the arrival meet up with Barbara we had everything that we could have wished for. What a great location from where you can visit the rest of Puglia or just hang out at the pool and relax. The Trulli is very well equipped with a fantastic outdoor kitchen and dining area over looking the pool and the olive groves. The gardens where a highlight with fantastic flowers and shrubs where the bees and butterflies danced all day long! We would definitely love to come back soon!

We had a fantastic stay in Trulli Petra Luna. The trulli was beautifully restored and very well equipped inside and out. We enjoyed the quiet location, but also closeness to Alberobello. We spent lovely early mornings sitting in the garden, amongst the beautiful flowers with numerous butterflies. In the evenings we enjoyed the patio area, the pizza oven and the bbq. What a truly special place… Trulli Pietra Luna is not just a holiday home - it's a heartfelt haven. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed, as if we were visiting old friends. The owners have poured their hearts and souls into restoring this Trulli, and you can feel it in every detail. The atmosphere is warm and peaceful, the design thoughtful and authentic. The garden, the stone walls, the soft light at sunset - everything whispers care, intention, and love. We felt completely at ease here. The stillness, the starlit nights, the gentle sounds of nature - it was as if time slowed down for us. This place doesn't just offer comfort, it offers peace.
The property is beautiful and in a stunning location. The inside of the villa was lovely, clean, had everything we needed and felt very homey. The outside area is surrounded by stunning views with plenty of spaces to sit or sunbathe by the pool. The pool was clean, spacious and always felt a lovely temperature. The outdoor kitchen area was a perfect place to relax, eat and drink in the evenings, when we weren't visiting the local towns. Watching the sunset was particularly special at the villa. The villa is in a remote location making it very peaceful but is only a short drive away from local supermarkets, making it very convenient. The villa is also only a short drive away from local beaches and a variety of scenic towns, with lovely views and delicious Italian restaurants.
Set in beautiful secluded countryside, within a large hillside plot, the house has wonderful open views, some 500 metres away from its nearest neighbour. The landscaped garden with its sizeable swimming pool, patio, outdoor kitchen and built in barbecue, leads to a large olive grove. The house itself is steeped in antiquity, being a beautiful example of a large stone trulli, with eight conical stone roofs and shaded patio. The natural stone finish continues inside but is complemented by modern fittings and finishes, including the refitted kitchen and bathrooms. The stone build ensures that the house remains cool even in hotter temperatures. The nearby UNESCO world heritage town of Alberobello is only a ten minute (3.5km) drive away, and as well as featuring a few hundred trulli houses in its centre, it also has a selection of restaurants, supermarkets and petrol stations.
From breakfast under the shade of the olive tree to dinner on the patio this can only be described as a 5 star holiday. The trullo is situated a short drive from Alberobello, where a high class supermarket provided us with all necessary supplies plus a lovely coffee shop. The traditional trullo is in a stunning location with magnificent views across the olive groves. Flowers and fruit trees are in abundance in the garden. The accommodation comprises internally, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (one ensuite), fully equipped modern kitchen and large lounge. However, we ate al fresco cooking on the amazing outside kitchen, which comprised of a wood burning pizza oven and an integral barbeque. The icing on this Italian cake is the swimming pool, surrounded by high quality, comfortable loungers. The pool is floodlight of an evening, adding to the atmosphere of dining on the patio, which is shaded during the day. One of the highlights was sitting of an evening on the patio watching moonrise over the olive groves. This was our second visit and we would love to return next year to this special place.
The pool was a life saver during the hot days and we ate most our meals outside using the outdoor kitchen having bbq's and a making our own panzerotti experience ! All the neighbouring towns make for great days out. Would highly recommend Monopoli, Allberobello, Polignano and more within 30 minutes drive. The house was lovely and clean upon arrival and had everything we needed. All in all, a 10/10 experience. So much to do considering how remote the place appeared. We will be back soon!
The Trulli is located in a gorgeous, peaceful area only a short drive away from supermarkets and other areas of interest such as Alberobello. The garden and pool area is tidy and beautifully thought out with lounge chairs and outdoor seating with a BBQ. You could sit and look at the view all day! The inside of the house was clean, and had everything in there to make you feel at home. We made some lovely memories here and would 100% recommend staying!
