Trullo Casolare - Quiet, beautiful and relaxing
We had a lovely stay at this beautiful trullo. The surrounding
olive groves and almond trees provide beautiful backdrop to this
property, which is situated in a very quiet spot, but only a short
drive away from the nearest town with weekly market and gorgeous
Alberobello. The trullo is also in the middle of Pulia region -
very convenient for day trips into numerous picturesque towns. If
you're looking for a quiet holiday in the countryside, this is a
place for you.

A characterful Trullo amongst the olive groves
We had a fantastic holiday at Trullo Casolare - it was the perfect place to stay. The property is full of charm and has everything you could want when you are on holiday. It is totally secluded and surrounded by olive, almond and fruit trees. The swimming pool was a total luxury, and it was beautifully maintained every few days during our stay. We also appreciated the change of bed linen and towels at the end of our first week. The property is in a great location for exploring Puglia; Alberobello is about a 10 minute drive away and you can get to the beaches within half an hour and there are many other small towns to explore within easy driving distance. Thank you for a wonderful holiday and we would have no hesitation in recommending this property.

Beautiful Truili for a beautiful holiday
It was really an amazing and unique experience to stay in a trulli. This one was particularly lovely and so nicely furnished and decorated and outfitted with everything you need for your stay. . The grounds around the trulli are expansive with olive and fruit trees and the pool is fantastic and so pleasant to be in after a day of sightseeing in the heat! Plenty of room for dining outside or relaxing by the pool . It is really quiet as well in this area-very peaceful! The villa was clean and tidy with everything you would need. Plenty of books and DVD's. Well equipped kitchen and it was nice to have a bottle of milk and wine waiting for us.The help in finding the villa was very helpful as it is quiet difficult to find the first time .The areas that we found from the information provided by david were Beautiful ,and the restaurants that were recommended all proved to be exceptional.Overall a great holiday in a great part of Italy

This trullo was just what we were looking for. It sits in the middle of olive fields down a country lane well off the main road. The only noise you hear are the birds, bees, crickets, the occasional noise from farmers working in their fields and the occasional car passing on the lane. The trullo is spacious, well equipped, has a lovely pool and is great if you want peace and tranquility, however, it is not far from the lovely towns and historical sights which dot Puglia. The owner is friendly and aleandro who looks after the place is very friendly and helpful. I certainly would recommend this accomodation.

Fantastic trullo, fab spot
Amazing, thoughtful hosts and fantastic holiday destination. The Trullo is perfectly equipped and swimming pool, like others have said, is much bigger than you think. You really are in relaxation mode the moment you arrive, the Trullo is really quiet and tranquil - and if you need anything, a simple 15 car ride to either of the good local towns. We were a couple with a four year old and had an amazing break, can't recommend the accommodation or the owners highly enough!

A highly characterful and superbly equipped Trullo
We found everything about the property to be as advertised and had an excellent relaxing stay. All facilities and equipment were first class and everything was spotlessly clean. Of particular note were the superbly luxurious bath towels. We travelled around most days in the hire car. We particularly liked the towns of Ceglie, Ostuni and alberobello but found driving in narrow streets and narrow lanes with unyielding stone walls to be rather stressful. The pool was adequately large with easy entry steps and Andrew did a very thorough cleaning on our first day. His attention to all our needs cannot be over emphasised and we all had a great time talking with him on the first day and subsequently when the water cistern was topped up when he changed gear into speaking Italian complete with voluble emphasis and hand waving. We will certainly recommend the Trullo to any friends
Speriamo che potremo tornare ancora

Relaxing stay in a beautiful trullo
We had a great week doing very little in this picturesque part of Puglia. Trullo is excellent and has everything required for a self contained stay. One restaurant walking distance others by car to Castellana Grotte or Alberobello both about 6km away. Large safe pool. Very well looked after by the owners. Highly recommended.

Total Relaxation in a Trullo
A terrific thunderstorm on our arrival did not deter our excitement at spending a week in the luxury and absolute quaintness of Castellana Grotte. We were warmly welcomed by David and Andrew and presented with a delicious foody welcome pack. The trullo is so delightful and unique, the pool is a welcome relief after spending time in the glorious sunshine and the barbecue area is a great way to end a perfect day. We were sad when our last day arrived but felt relaxed and refreshed ready to face the world once more!

This place is perfect
I couldn't recommend this trullo/villa more highly. For anybody wanting to get away from it all this place is perfect. The pool is a great size(much bigger than it appears in the photos)and the surrounding countryside is lovely. The trullo itself is beautiful and has all the facilities you could want(including an iphone compatible sound system which meant we could have our own soundtrack on tap).

A fantastic Trullo experience at Casolare
Before the holiday all arrangements were made very efficiently. We were greeted by Alex and Julia on arrival, who were both friendly and helpful. This was a true unembellished trullo, restored without losing any of its rustic charm. With the exception of the added dining area and bathroom, every room was a trullo cone. With plain and stylish furnishings. It has a lovely large swimming pool and is in a very good location. We spent two weeks there and had a wonderful holiday. A fantastic trullo experience.

The Jewel in the Crown
Our first visit to this region of Italy - what a wonderful time we have had. Places that are a must to visit are Alberobello - the old town made up entirely of Trullis, Lecce and "the jewel in the crown" Bari (old town). If you can stay off the autostrada and keep to the country roads you will see some beautiful countryside. Food has been very good wherever we have eaten but do not expect to see the menus in English. Excellent food at Osteria del Caroseno in Casterllana Grotte. Also just down the hill from there is Osteria Bernado (brilliant) and Masseria Piccolino is the nearest place to eat, just down the hill and to the left. Food was excellent. Andrew has been a star, always happy to help. Thank you.

What a great 2 weeks at Trullo Casaolare
Thank goodness for the wonderful pool to fall into out of the blazing sunshine.
Everything you could wish for in such a special house. It was lovely to see the transformation of the Trulli in the photo’s that were around the house. SO grateful for the TV, DVD player and CD player which kept the teenagers busy. We now live in Belgium after living in Milano for 2½ years so this has been a wonderful experience for us to come back and stay in a Trulli.
Best Wishes & good luck

Trullo Casolare is a home from home
We had a wonderful 2 weeks here relaxing by the pool and visiting the many local towns. We loved visiting Alberobello especially in the evening and would recommend a trip to the caves which are fascinating and very moving. The countryside is really lovely and the locals are especially friendly. The little lady at the meat counter at the Punto supermarket speaks English and will help you purchase excellent meat for the BBQ. Many thanks to you this has by far been the most welcoming and well equipped house we have rented and the Trullo is honestly home from home.
